Visa Application Procedure
Applicants may please note, all visa applications have to be filled online along with signatures on both pages on prescribed space at link given below: https://indianvisaonline.gov.in/
Diplomatic/Official/UN passports holders may follow these steps
 1. Fill online visa application form which is available at https://indianvisaonline.gov.in/
 2. Print out the completed form and sign it and add one more photograph.
 3. Submit the application form along with all requisite enclosures at the Embassy
Other check list for making a visa application:
1. The original passport valid for more than 6 months from the date of submission of application with minimum of 2 blank pages. 
2. Two passport –size (50 mm x 50 mm) photograph with front view against light background, not older than six months.(one to be pasted on the application form and the other to be attached)

Payment of fees For Visa Services : Visa Fees
  • Visa fee once paid is non-refundable.
  • Applicants who apply by post should refrain from sending cash in envelopes to Embassy. 
  • The Embassy does not accept cash/cheque at the visa counter. Applicants are requested to pay fee for the service requested through BANK-GIRO only and enclose a copy of the proof of payment along with the application documents.
  • Visa fees must be paid directly to the Embassy of India to Sweden and Latvia in Stockholm.

  • Citizens of certain countries have different visa fee structure for different categories of visas and duration. This fee structure is explained in the visa fee link given above. Applicants are requested to check carefully before applying. 
  • Other documents depending upon the purpose of your visit (Refer to Types of Visa).
  • In case the applicant wishes the document to be sent back to him/ her by post, he/she is requested to send a self-addressed envelope bearing a bar code number with waybill (Rekommenderat brev) generated through Post Nord (https://portal.postnord.com/skickadirekt). In case, you are unable to print the rekommenderat brev, it can be sent through email at visa[dot]stockholm[at]mea[dot]gov[dot]in
  • Copy of Person Bevis in English from Skatteverket (For applicants applying from Sweden)
  • Copy of local address proof (For applicants applying from Latvia)
Public dealing hours: 
Submission of Applications: 1000 hrs - 1100 hrs (only on prior appointments) 
Passport/ visa collection:      1600 hrs - 1700 hrs (only on prior appointments)
Note :- 
The Embassy takes 5-6 working days to issue all types of visas for Swedish and Latvian passport holders, provided application forms are complete in all respects. During peak season (mid-August to mid-January), 7-8 working days may be required for Swedish and Latvian passport holders.
