THE PARTNERSHIP SUMMIT 2017 in Andhra Pradesh, India from 27-29 January 2017

The Confederation of Indian Industry (CII), in partnership with the Department of Industrial Policy and Promotion (DIPP), Ministry of Commerce and Industry, Government of India, and the State Government of Andhra Pradesh, is organizing 23rdedition of the Partnership Summit from 27-29 January 2017 at APIIC Ground, Harbour Park, Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh, India

2.      H.E. Ms. Nirmala Sitharaman, Minister for Commerce and Industry, Government of India, is the Chairperson of the Summit and Andhra Pradesh is the ‘Partner State’ to this prestigious initiative. 

3.      With over two decades of active engagement and collaboration of India with the rest of the world, the Partnership Summit, from the very onset, has provided a platform for dialogue, deliberation and engagement among global leaders from all walks of life, towards a greater understanding of the forces that are shaping the world and challenges that need global policy attention, and the responses that are required to manage changes effectively. 

4.      The Partnership Summit, which started in 1995 to mark the centenary of CII, has since become one of the most important international business events in the country. It aims to further partnerships, to build ideologies based on shared dreams that bind societies together in this knowledge-driven world. The Summit has established itself as an ideal ground for business networking and sharing of ideas among stakeholders on the best strategies and policies to help countries overcome the obstacles to improving competitiveness and integrate better into the globalized world.

5.      The Partnership Summit has regularly featured Heads of States and Governments, Ministers, policy makers, CEOs, academicians and thought leaders from all over the world.  The Prime Ministers of India, Singapore, Canada, UK, Italy, Czech Republic, Macedonia and Presidents of India, Poland and Portugal have addressed the Partnership Summit since its inception. 

6.      The Summit traditionally sees over 1500 delegates with almost 40% attending from several countries including USA, UK, Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, Mexico, Canada, France, Australia, South Africa, Italy, Qatar, China, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain and UAE.
